First time in Marietta, checking out the alma mater of my boyfriend. This was probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had, definitely the best scallops and I’m from New England, so that’s saying a lot. I wasn’t going to have them as scallops can sometimes be iffy, especially when not on the coast, but then I heard the chef is from Boston, so I took a chance. Amazing! I met the owner and she definitely has her heart and soul in the business. Great staff and I wish I lived close because it would definitely be my go-to dinner locations. Check out their holiday buffets for Easter and Thanksgiving. Location is beautiful on the water. We will be back! PS, save room for cheesecake!
We were there today on Friday, July 19. On the patio overlooking the Ohio river. It was so amazing my husband is in a wheelchair and they were so helpful and Accommodations. It was wonderful f5 stars. We will definitely go back.
Amazing food! We had the strawberry spinach salad and I absolutely loved it. For appetizer we had scallops with a blueberry sauce. Some of the best scallops I've ever had, tender and delicious and the little bit of blueberry sauce with each bite was amazing. For dinner I had the crab cakes with mixed vegetables and yellow Yukon potatoes. Most restaurant's side vegetables are just blah and lying there. These were some of the best stir-fried vegetables from a restaurant we have had. My crab cakes were moist on the inside not overcooked and came with a Chipotle sauce which really highlighted the crab cakes. My husband had an old favorite of the Levee House, the chicken and pea pasta. And it did not disappoint. We were hearing raving reviews from all the tables around us about their food. We highly recommend trying out the new Levee House bistro.
We arrived shortly after 12:30 and they were a bit busy and only two servers; however, we were seated quickly and our server was there in a short amount of time asking for our drink order. She was back straight away with our drinks and took our lunch order. The food was excellent and reasonably priced for lunch. It was a pleasant 82 day so we opted to sit outside and enjoy the view of the river. Made for a tranquil experience.
This is an older restaurant but that is part of the charm. The menu is well thought out and the dishes were of excellent quality. Portion size was spot on as we left satisfied and not stuffed. We both had the cod special with its great lobster sauce. My only criticism is that the rolls while tasty were not of the same caliber as the rest of the meal. Fun place for a casual quality meal.
Hats off to chef Josh and his team for making a delicious meal. Everything was fresh and prepared spot on. The service was a joy with Joy. She explained everything and was very helpful. What a great location being on the river. We will definitely making this bistro a permanent stop.
Great meal at this classy restaurant with big windows looking out at the Ohio River/bridges. Very attentive service. My salmon (apparently cooked by the new sous chef) was very overcooked. I mentioned it when the waitress came to the table and she apologized, took it to the kitchen, and then the chef returned with a perfectly cooked salmon filet. The chef said he used that as a teaching moment for his sous chef and appreciated me speaking up. Now that is true customer service. Thank you to the Levee Bistro staff for doing a great job!!! I look forward to returning with more folks in the future.
A great little spot that captures the historical town of Marietta! My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary, (as we have in the past) and the food was phenomenal. Chef Tom let us add on a lobster tail to our entree, and it was incredible! Defiantly a great little spot for those special nights out!
